Business English Curriculum

Pronunciation & Intonation

Clear speech is a career advantage. This course targets the exact pronunciation and prosody challenges Vietnamese professionals face—first taming the most troublesome consonants (th, s/sh, f/v, final sounds), then drilling long–short vowel length and mouth movement, and finally attacking consonant clusters, stress, rhythm, intonation and connected speech. Most learners complete the program in about 18-24 class sessions, with each block repeated until everyone reaches the required intelligibility for real-world meetings, calls and presentations. Workplace scenarios, personalized audio feedback and recorded progress checks ensure every hour in class translates into clearer, more confident communication on the job.

Objectives

  • Pronounce all English consonant and vowel sounds clearly (including th, f/v, s/sh, j/ch, and final consonants)
  • Lengthen and shape vowels accurately for long vs short contrasts
  • Articulate consonant clusters without inserting extra vowels
  • Apply correct word and sentence stress to signal meaning
  • Use English rhythm and pitch to sound natural in questions and statements
  • Link words smoothly in connected speech for fluency
  • Self-monitor and correct pronunciation errors
  • Demonstrate improved intelligibility in presentations, meetings, and everyday workplace conversations
