Level 2 (Adults) develops grammar, vocabulary, and fluency skills needed to function independently
in familiar situations. Students learn to talk about past and future events, describe experiences,
make comparisons, and understand short texts and spoken passages. Completion of this level marks
CEFR A2 proficiency and readiness for Intermediate English.
Modules
Module 01: Building Practical English for Everyday Situations
This module helps adult learners build confidence and clarity in real-life English communication.
Students review core structures, ask and answer questions clearly, and build full-sentence fluency
in everyday topics like routines, work, food, and directions. Special focus is placed on correcting
pronunciation habits common among Vietnamese speakers to prepare for more fluent conversation in
later modules.
Objectives
Ask and answer simple personal questions using full-sentence patterns.
Describe daily routines and future plans using clear sentence models.
Use “because” to give short, spoken explanations.
Participate in short, guided conversations using polite and practical expressions.
Build pronunciation awareness and confidence by practicing key English sound contrasts,
including voiced and unvoiced pairs, final consonants, and common vowel patterns.
Module 02: Talking About Yourself and Your Daily Life
This module helps adult learners describe their daily routines, habits, and personal schedules using
present simple grammar. Students learn to talk about what they do, when they do it, and how often.
They practice asking and answering questions, using time expressions, and participating in short
conversations about work, home, and common daily activities. The module also builds pronunciation
awareness with a focus on vowel teams, glide sounds, and difficult consonant patterns.
Objectives
Describe common daily routines using present simple tense.
Ask and answer questions about what people do and when they do it.
Use time expressions and frequency words (e.g., “in the morning,” “always,” “on Mondays”).
Practice short conversations about work, home, and daily activities using clear sentence
patterns.
Strengthen pronunciation through continued review of consonant sounds and focused practice on
vowel teams, glide pairs, and common “r” and “l” patterns, including r-controlled vowel sounds.
Module 03: Sharing Past Experiences
This module helps learners talk about past events using the simple past tense. Students practice
describing things they did, sharing stories from work or daily life, and using common time
expressions like “yesterday” and “last weekend.” Grammar instruction focuses on regular and
irregular past verbs. Pronunciation practice emphasizes final consonants and -ed endings, along with
continued review of key sound patterns for Vietnamese learners.
Objectives
Use regular and common irregular verbs to describe past activities.
Ask and answer questions about what people did using the simple past tense.
Use time expressions such as “yesterday,” “last weekend,” and “two days ago.”
Tell short stories or descriptions about past events using clear sequencing.
Improve clarity of spoken past tense by practicing final consonant sounds, including stopped
sounds like /t/ and /k/, and reviewing -ed endings. Continue to reinforce earlier pronunciation
patterns while practicing short sentence patterns with clear word endings.
Module 04: Making Plans and Talking About the Future
This module helps learners talk about their future plans and goals using the “going to” and “will”
forms. Students learn to describe what they are going to do, make simple predictions, and ask polite
questions about future activities. They practice expressing intentions, using time expressions, and
responding in everyday planning conversations. Pronunciation activities focus on consonant clusters
and spoken clarity to support accurate, natural speech.
Objectives
Use “going to” and “will” to talk about future plans and events.
Ask and answer questions about what someone is going to do or wants to do.
Use time expressions such as “tomorrow,” “next week,” and “this weekend.”
Practice short conversations about personal goals and simple future predictions.
Begin practicing common consonant clusters to improve pronunciation clarity.
Module 05: Giving Opinions and Talking About Preferences
This module helps learners express likes, dislikes, and simple opinions in conversation. Students
learn how to give short reasons using “because,” ask for preferences politely, and compare ideas
using common sentence patterns. Lessons focus on real-life topics such as food, hobbies, and
everyday choices. Pronunciation activities emphasize word stress in longer responses and build
clarity when sharing opinions.
Objectives
Express likes, dislikes, and preferences using structured sentence patterns (e.g., “I like…,” “I
prefer…,” “I do not like…”).
Ask others about their preferences and respond politely.
Use “because” to give short reasons to support an opinion.
Practice simple comparisons and expressions of choice in daily topics.
Begin practicing word stress in common multi-syllable words and preference phrases.
Module 06: Describing People, Places, and Things
This module helps learners use clear, descriptive language to talk about people, objects, and
locations. Students practice using adjectives, colors, sizes, and other details to describe things
around them. They also learn to use prepositions and basic relative clauses (e.g., “who,” “that”) in
conversation. Pronunciation work focuses on sentence stress to support more natural, understandable
speech when giving descriptions.
Objectives
Describe people, places, and objects using common adjectives and detail words.
Use prepositions and simple relative clauses in spoken descriptions.
Ask and answer questions about appearance, qualities, and locations.
Practice structured conversations that use descriptive vocabulary.
Continue improving fluency by practicing sentence stress in short instructions and descriptive
phrases.
Module 07: Solving Problems and Handling Everyday Conversations
This module helps learners manage everyday situations such as asking for help, clarifying
misunderstandings, and giving advice. Students practice polite conversation strategies, including
requests, suggestions, and common responses. Grammar points include modals, conditionals, and
functional questions. Pronunciation work introduces natural rhythm in spoken English, helping
students speak more smoothly and understand others more easily.
Objectives
Ask for help, offer assistance, and make polite suggestions using modals and polite phrases.
Use conditionals (e.g., “If you need help…”) in everyday problem-solving.
Practice clarifying, confirming, and responding in common situations.
Participate in short role-plays for everyday conversations.
Begin practicing natural rhythm in polite requests and responses while continuing review of core
pronunciation patterns.
Module 08: Fluency and Communication in Real Life
This module helps learners apply everything they have learned through practical speaking tasks,
review activities, and structured role-plays. Students participate in real-life conversations that
combine vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation from the entire level. The goal is to improve overall
fluency, increase confidence, and prepare learners for more independent communication in daily life,
work, and social situations.
Objectives
Review and apply key vocabulary and grammar from earlier modules in real-life speaking
situations.
Participate in structured conversations and guided speaking tasks on common life topics.
Express opinions, give explanations, and respond naturally in extended speech.
Complete short speaking projects such as planning an event, describing a process, or
role-playing everyday problems.
Continue building natural rhythm and sentence stress through review-based speaking practice and
fluency scaffolding, while revisiting key pronunciation challenges for Vietnamese learners, such
as final consonants, vowel length, and difficult sound pairs.
