Level 2 (Kids) builds on Level 1 to help learners move into CEFR A2. Lessons emphasize daily life,
routines, past experiences, future plans, preferences, and real-life conversations. By the end of
this level, learners demonstrate readiness for Intermediate English.
Modules
Module 01: Getting Ready to Speak More English
This module gives learners the tools to start building real conversations in English. Students learn
to ask and answer questions clearly, give reasons for their ideas, and speak in full sentences. They
practice pronunciation, build confidence, and explore topics like daily life, feelings, and future
plans at an introductory level. This module prepares them for deeper speaking challenges in upcoming
modules.
Objectives
Ask and answer simple personal questions using full-sentence patterns.
Describe daily routines and future plans using clear sentence models.
Use “because” to give short, spoken explanations.
Participate in short, guided conversations using polite and practical expressions.
Build pronunciation awareness and confidence by practicing key English sound contrasts,
including voiced and unvoiced pairs, final consonants, and common vowel patterns.
Module 02: Daily Life and Routines
This module helps learners talk confidently about everyday life using clear, full-sentence patterns.
Students learn to describe routines, talk about time and frequency, and ask simple questions about
what people do. They build fluency with the present simple tense and practice using time expressions
and polite follow-up questions in natural conversation.
Objectives
Describe common daily routines using present simple tense.
Ask and answer questions about what people do and when they do it.
Use time expressions and frequency words (e.g., “in the morning,” “always,” “on Mondays”).
Practice short conversations about school, home, and activities using clear sentence patterns.
Strengthen pronunciation through continued review of consonant sounds and focused practice on
vowel teams, glide pairs, and common “r” and “l” patterns, including r-controlled vowel sounds.
Module 03: Talking About the Past
This module helps learners describe events and experiences using simple past tense. Students learn
to talk about what they did yesterday, last weekend, or during holidays. They practice using regular
and irregular verbs in full sentences and build confidence telling short, clear stories about
real-life situations. Focus is placed on fluency, sentence structure, and accurate pronunciation of
final and past-tense sounds.
Objectives
Use regular and common irregular verbs to describe past activities.
Ask and answer questions about what people did using the simple past tense.
Use time expressions such as “yesterday,” “last weekend,” and “two days ago.”
Tell short stories or descriptions about past events using clear sequencing.
Improve clarity of spoken past tense by practicing final consonant sounds, including stopped
sounds like /t/ and /k/, and reviewing -ed endings. Continue to reinforce earlier pronunciation
patterns while practicing short sentence patterns with clear word endings.
Module 04: Making Plans and Talking About the Future
This module helps learners talk about future activities using clear, age-appropriate language.
Students learn to use “going to” and “will” to describe plans, make predictions, and talk about what
they want to do. Lessons include vocabulary for common future events and time expressions. The focus
is on helping students speak with confidence and correct word order when planning or imagining what
will happen next.
Objectives
Use “going to” and “will” to talk about future plans and events.
Ask and answer questions about what someone is going to do or wants to do.
Use time expressions such as “tomorrow,” “next week,” and “this weekend.”
Practice short conversations about personal goals and simple future predictions.
Begin practicing common consonant clusters to improve pronunciation clarity.
Module 05: Feelings, Preferences, and Opinions
This module helps learners express feelings, preferences, and opinions in simple, polite
conversations. Students learn how to talk about emotions, explain what they like or do not like, and
give short reasons using “because.” The lessons focus on speaking naturally and clearly, while
building the confidence to share personal ideas and compare choices with others.
Objectives
Use adjectives and simple expressions to describe physical and emotional states (e.g., “I feel
tired,” “I am excited”).
Express likes, dislikes, and preferences using familiar sentence patterns (e.g., “I like…,” “I
prefer…,” “I do not like…”).
Give short reasons using “because” to support opinions or feelings.
Practice short conversations about feelings, favorite things, and comparisons.
Begin practicing word stress in common multi-syllable words related to feelings and opinions.
Module 06: Places, Directions, and Descriptions
This module helps learners talk about places and how to describe them clearly. Students learn how to
ask for and give directions, describe locations and objects, and use common adjectives to talk about
where things are and what they look like. The focus is on speaking clearly and politely in everyday
situations such as describing a neighborhood, finding a place, or giving simple instructions.

Ask for and give directions using polite, simple phrases.
Describe places and objects using common adjectives (e.g., big, small, near, next to).
Use prepositions of place and movement in short conversations.
Practice giving and following simple instructions about where to go or how to find something.
Continue improving fluency by practicing sentence stress in short instructions and descriptive
phrases.
Module 07: Shopping, Food, and Real Situations
This module helps learners speak confidently in real-world situations like shopping for food,
ordering at a restaurant, or asking for help. Students practice making polite requests, asking about
prices and quantities, and responding to common questions in shops or cafes. Lessons focus on useful
phrases, clear pronunciation, and building fluency in short conversations with real communicative
goals.

Make polite requests using common phrases such as “Can I have…?” and “I would like…”
Ask and answer questions about prices, quantities, and food items.
Use vocabulary and expressions for shopping, restaurants, and simple services.
Practice short role-plays in real-life speaking situations.
Begin practicing natural rhythm in polite requests and transactional speech, while continuing
review of core pronunciation patterns.
Module 08: Review and Real-World Communication
This module reviews and reinforces the key speaking skills developed throughout the level. Learners
revisit vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation targets through guided conversations, role-plays, and
simple speaking tasks. The focus is on building real fluency, strengthening pronunciation patterns,
and preparing learners to use English confidently in daily life, school, and social settings.

Participate in short conversations and structured role-plays that combine multiple topics.
Use polite and fluent speech patterns for sharing opinions, giving explanations, and asking
questions.
Build confidence in open-ended speaking through guided conversation tasks.

fluency scaffolding, while revisiting key pronunciation challenges for Vietnamese learners, such
as final consonants, vowel length, and difficult sound pairs.
